FAQ
Questions are part of the process.
Straightforward answers about what Team Rooted does, how projects are quoted, and where administrative support ends.
Is Team Rooted a law firm?
No. Team Rooted is not a law firm, Meredith is not an attorney, and Team Rooted does not provide legal advice or representation.
Can Team Rooted tell me which USCIS form I should file?
No. You must select the form yourself or with help from a licensed attorney or DOJ-accredited representative. Team Rooted can prepare a form only after you have selected it and supplied the answers.
What can Team Rooted help with?
Depending on the approved quote, we may transcribe client-provided information into client-selected forms, organize records, assemble digital packets, complete mechanical checks, coordinate optional outside translation, and prepare printing or mailing materials.
Who does Team Rooted serve?
At launch, Team Rooted is fully virtual for Florida clients. There is no public walk-in office.
How much does a project cost?
Every request receives an individual review. If it is within scope, you receive a written custom fixed-fee quote based on the administrative work, document volume and condition, communication needs, timing, included services, and direct costs.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. The initial project review and written quote are free. It is a quote review, not a legal consultation.
How quickly will I receive a quote?
Quotes are generally provided within two business days after Team Rooted receives enough information to estimate the request. This is a target, not a guarantee.
Should I upload my documents with the first request?
No. Do not send Social Security numbers, A-numbers, passport images, identity documents, or other sensitive records through the public quote form. Accepted clients receive secure-upload instructions.
Does Team Rooted provide translations?
Translation is not a core service. When available, Team Rooted may coordinate an outside translator as a separately quoted add-on.
Are USCIS filing fees included?
No, unless a written quote expressly states otherwise. Government fees, attorney fees, postage, courier charges, translation costs, and other third-party expenses are separate.
Will Team Rooted submit my filing for me?
You remain responsible for reviewing, signing, and submitting your filing. A quote may include mailing preparation, but Team Rooted does not act as your legal representative.
Can Team Rooted guarantee USCIS will accept or approve my filing?
No. Team Rooted cannot promise acceptance, approval, processing time, or any other government outcome.
What happens if my project changes?
We pause the affected work and send a written scope-change notice with any added fee or revised timeline. Added work begins only after written approval and any required payment.
When should I contact an attorney or accredited representative?
Seek qualified legal help when you need form selection, eligibility analysis, interpretation, strategy, risk evaluation, advice about evidence, help responding to a legal issue, or representation.
Still deciding whether your request fits?
Send a brief, non-sensitive description through the quote form. If the request requires legal guidance rather than administrative preparation, Team Rooted will tell you.
